What Are The Reasons For Delayed Periods And Prolonged Bleeding?

I had unprotected sex and took postinor 2, it was during my ovulation, when it,was due for my next period to occur, it was delayed by 8 days and eventually when it came, it lasted for more than 10 days. What could be the cause of the prolonged bleeding.

Hello, from the history you have given, well hormonal pills when used, sometimes cause irregular period due to the hormonal effect.i would suggest you to consult your gynaecologist, if required you may need an examination and will be prescribed some antifibrinolytic agents to control the bleeding.hope I was helpful to you.
