What Are The Reasons For Increase In Weight In Lower Abdomen?

Yes, thanks. I have gained weight in my abdomen over the past couple years. I seem to have an area of fat above my umbilicus, then a line, then a second area of fat below the umbilical area. I thought this may be a hernia, but there is no pain associated. Also, I feel full at times after eating a small meal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. You may be right in noticing; this can be paraumbical hernia and pain is caused only on entrapment of something in the neck of a hernia.
The best way to confirm is by an examination by a Surgeon and a high resolution sonography with informed knowledge of the Sonologist as to what he/ she has to search for.
