What Are The Red And Purple Bruises On My Thighs?

Hello, I am noticing that I get big bruises on my thighs. They turn red and then purple later. I don't recall getting hit or anything like that.I have one now the size of a hamburger on my upper thigh. Seems to be a pressure bruise. What could this be? I have had my blood tested and the only thing that looks a little high is my ristocetin cofactor. it's 275. Please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
According to your description it appears that you are having patachae marks and they occur due to bleeding underneath the skin. This might occur due to lot many causes but the important one is affection of platelet count in blood and vasculitis.
I will advise to consult a general physician and get investigations done to confirm the cause of these patechae as there are infections (Eg. Dengue Fever) which can lead to this condition and which are curable.
