What Are The Side Effects Of Accutane Dosage?

I m currently on accutane and I was told not to take any vitamin a. Now, I usaully don t wear makeup but when I do I use a moisturizer first. I ve been looking at inexpensive moisterizes and I found this tinted one by elf. That one contains vitamin a though. Would I have some sort of reaction on my skin if I were to use it?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the safety profile of Accutane.

Accutane (Isotretinoin or Vitamin A) use is associated with the following side effects:
Dry lips and mouth, minor swelling of the eyelids or lips, crusty skin, pain in the bones, nosebleeds, upset stomach, irritation of the eyes, joint pains, or thinning of hair
Its use also is linked to serious side effects like harmful effects on the growing fetus if used during pregnancy (hence contraindicated during pregnancy), thoughts of suicide, depression and bowel disorders.

In view of the side effects of the Accutane, you are advised to consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation and the treatment.

Hope this answers your query.
