What Are The Side Effects Of Amlodipine Besylate Tablets?

can you tell me themarkings on the 5 mg tabs of amlodipine besylate. I have been taking 5 mg with no problems. I received a new scrip and feet and ankles swelled. Markings on new pills are 54/771.Im afraid these might be 10mg which I had the same problem with 10mg before doc lowered dose

Amlodipine besylate is known to have the main side effect of swelling of feet and ankles. Please check the small writings on the body of the strip and see if it mentions 5 mg or 10 mg. If you find 10 mg, just take half the dose and see if things return to normal. If that is not the case, you will have to talk to your doctor to see if the dosage or medicine needs to be modified.

Less common side effects of amlodipine could be:
Difficult or labored breathing, dizziness, palpitation, feeling of warmth
redness of the face, neck, arms, and occasionally upper chest, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest and wheezing but those occur in a very small number of patients and I do not think that you need to worry about it.
