What Are The Side Effects Of Baclofen?

Hi I need to get a hold of my primary care physician to ask about about a med. I am taking called baclofen it says not to stop taking without consulting your physician may cause with drawals he is not in his regular office today what should I do ????

Hi! Baclofen is used to treat muscle spasms and is also useful in multiple sclerosis. Your physician is quite right in saying it shouldn't be stopped suddenly as this may precipitate a withdrawal reaction.You haven't mentioned the reason you want to stop it. If it is something urgent like an allergic reaction you need to visit the ER(emergency room) quickly. However if it is anything else I'd suggest you wait till you can get in touch with your doctor.
