What Are The Side Effects Of Depo Provera Injection?
I have been on the depo shot for 10 months. I immediately stopped having a period after the 1st shot, and have never spotted. Just recently started having unprotected sex, I am nauseous at least once a day, which is not a common thing thing for me at all. I am also spotting, and have sporadic cramps, which I know is normal on depo. I m assuming the only answer is take a urine pregnancy test?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Irregular/absent periods, spotting / cramps off &on are usual side effects of Depot Provera.Nausea is also many a times seen in depot users. So, if you are regular user of Depot prover , you need not worry, there is least chance of pregnancy. But if you have missed/delayed a dose/ you are tense with thought of pregnancy, you can exclude pregnancy by urine/blood pregnancy test. Thanks.
