I m having problems with taking dicloxacillin capsule (500mg). My doctor has prescribed it for ongoing treatment of prolonged cellulitis in my right leg. The pill sometimes seems to get stuck in my esophagus usually followed by burning. I have noticed that I ve had this problem before when taking medications in capsule form. Most of the time I can eat something like bread followed by drinking water or other liquids and it alleviates the problem. However, this time I took the pill right before going to bed and woke up with burning sensation in my throat/chest. I do have acid reflux, but I ve not been having any symptomatic problems like swallowing of any types of foods. It s 4:30 a.m. and I m still up after trying to eat bread, banana followed by drinking water, milk, and finally some hot tea. PLEASE HELP!
