What Are The Side Effects Of Galvus Met?

Hi doc, Good day I am a lady, 53 years old, 154 cms tall, 85 Kg weight. I am diabetic, and doctor has prescribed Galvus Met 50 mg/850 mg since January 2014. I would like to know, if there are any side effects for the drug. I have been losing hair since I have been administered to the drug. Appreciate your response Thanks

HI Thanks for posting your query .

Galvus Met is a very safe drug with less side effects . It contains 2 drugs .

1. Metformin : Side effects of which are Nausea , gastritis , diarrhoea , Indigestion , anaemia , Lactic acidosis , headache .

2. Vildagliptin : Side effects of which are Nausea , gastritis , Dizziness , diarrhoea, Flatulence , liver problem , Angioedema , urtricaria .

All said and done I have used this drug on many of my patients and they have tolerated it well . Unless you have Kidney failure or Heart Failure you can continue to use this .
