What Are The Side Effects Of Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Hello - hope this is legit :) I have been on HRT for 2 years for total Hysterectomy as well as BP med as the BP crept up - looking to stop the BP med for side effects and wean myself off of HRT to see if I can find a way to feel normal and healthy again - any suggestions?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

All medications have potential side effects so if your particular blood pressure medication does not agree with you then your doctor can try another one.

Side effects occur in the minority not majority of persons and the risks of uncontrolled high blood pressure are high.
If you can maintain a normal blood pressure without any medication then this would be okay

IN terms of the HRT, it does not have addictive or dependence potential. Some women can just stop it, this is fine , in others the symptoms of menopause may restart after it is stopped.

If you prefer, you can just reduce it slowly over a short period of time. There is no specific regimen.

I hope this helps
