What Are The Side Effects Of Ibuprofen And Tramadol?

I have a t-12 fracture, and in lots of pain. Currently taking 800 ibuprofen which helps. Tramadol 50mg had too many side effects for me. I stopped taking it. Is there any other OTC med I can take with the ibuprofen to relieve pain ? Hopefully the Kyphoplasty is coming up soon. But in enough pain now to holler.

Hello,

Ibuprofen is a NSAID drug, commonly prescribed to treat mild-moderate type of pain associated with inflammation, muscle sprain, et cetera. Its common side effects include gastritis, stomach ulcer, or bleeding.

Tramadol is an opioid pain reliever drug, commonly prescribed to treat moderate to severe type of pain. Its most common side effects include central nervous system depression, vomiting, constipation and dependence.

Paracetamol or Acetaminophen is an OTC (Over-the-counter) drug that can be taken instead of Tramadol to relieve the moderate to severe pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
