What Are The Side Effects Of Levothyroxine?

I have adhd and take adderall, my doctor put me on levothyroxin last month and so far no side effects except I m very tired and scattered if I don t take my adderall. Recently I ve been retaining water and feel a pronounced heart beat. Was wondering if I need a blood pressure medication and how the three would interact

Hi & Welcome to HCM.
The common side effects of Levothyroxine include increased heart beat & sweating, mental/mood changes (such as nervousness, mood swings), tiredness, diarrhea, shaking (tremor), sleep disturbances, headache;
changes in your menstrual periods or appetite or body weight.
Levothyroxine & Adderall (Amphetamine / Dextroamphetamine) when taken together can INTERACT and increase the risk of cardiovascular side effects such as high BP, palpitation, chest pain, and irregular heart beat. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications or you may need to use and alternate but a safer medication like Atomoxetine or antidepressant Bupropion to treat ADHD.
Hope I could answer your query.
