What Are The Side Effects Of Moxycycline Mono 100mg?

I took Doxycycline Mono 100 MG, twice daily for 7 days for a severe eye infection. The infection improved but I experienced physical and emotional highs and lows, symptoms of low blood sugar, and some psychotic flashbacks with vivid visions. Is this normal? Glad I took my last dose today. It was like an acid trip out of the 70 s the last few days. Is this normal or to be expected in rare instances?

Doxycycline may cause side effects of blurred vision, dizziness and headache which may have prompted vivid visions . Very rarely it can stimulate psychosis and panic attacks.

Donot worry you will be fine.If the symptoms last more than a week consult your physician.
Next time you have infections kindly inform about this to your doctor as they can prescribe alternative antibiotics like fluoroquinolones
