What Are The Side Effects Of Propranolol?

I am on a low dose of propranolol and I am taking 20/mg 2x/day for an essential tremor. I am weaning off the drug due to some side effects and even though the decrease in dosage has been gradual, it is causing an irregular heartbeat. Is this normal and how long before my body adjusts to the withdrawal?

Hello there
Welcome to HCM
How old are you ? As the drug's effect varies with age. However common side effects include reduced BP,bradycardia, angina, syncope, dizziness etc etc.Gradual tapering wouldn't pose deleterious withdrawal effects.Just monitor your BP and pulse rate.If you feel uncomfortable, ECG is needed to rule out rhythm disturbance. In a week the body gets adjusted. Take care.
