What Are The Side Effects Of Sensodyne Toothpaste?

I went to the dentist and they gave me sensodyne toothpaste for my tooth sensitivity, right after I started using it my face and lips became swollen with reddening of my cheeks (beat red). After 2 days I began to get sores in my mouth making it very hard to eat. Could this be a complication from beginning sensodyne, I had no other changes in my diet medication or other changes, deodorant laundry detergent, perfume or the like. Went to dentist and they had no clue as to the cause. They prescribed first mouthwash blm. Do you think this is caused by the sense dyne which I stopped using but the symptoms are only slightly resolving?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
You have allergy to sensodyne.
It would normally subside after you have stopped the offending substance.
If you are not better you would require to take an antihistamine or a short course of steroids if the anti histamine does not solve the issue.
Please see your doctor and he/she will help you.
Take Care
