What Are The Side Effects Of Sovaldi And Daklinza?

Hi, I have a friend that has been taking SOVALDI 400MG & DAKLINZA 30 MG once a day for 6 months. His doctor said he is cured from siroccos. He just completed the medications, will there be any adverse affects if he drinks some beers now, as far as still having the 2 meds in his system?

Hi,

The two medicine are very effective and mostly safe drugs. Mostly it does not cause any problem. These are used to cure Hepatitis C virus which can cause liver cirrhosis. It does not cause any big interaction with wine. However it should be noted that alcohol itself can damage the liver and is a very common cause of liver cirrhosis.

So, if you have already liver I would strongly suggest to avoid taking any alcohol as this may cause serious damage to the liver.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
