Hi,

Tarana contains ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone which is used to prevent pregnancy and irregular periods. It helps to prevent release and fertilization of the egg. It is a reliable and safe method for contraception, if used correctly. It doesn't interrupt with sex or cause any problem in the future and you can lead a normal routine life without any worries. Side effects of Tarana are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, GIT upset, headache, weight gain, breast tenderness and enlargement, irregular uterine bleeding, vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, bleeding or spotting between periods, mood swings, depression, dizziness, weakness, tiredness, fatigue, irritability, sleeping difficulties, diarrhoea or constipation, indigestion, acnes, facial hair growth, dry mouth, abdominal bloating, allergic reactions etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician,
