What Are The Side Effects Of Trazodone And Cipralex?
Hello,I just find out that my boyfriend used to take antidepressants :Trazodome and Cipralex.He also told me that use to have insomnia and still sometimes has nights of no sleep...What should I be worried about ,if anything? Can his depression come back ? He often says that is tired and has some problems with sleeping,he seems to take everything very serious,so I am not sure if it is because of they way he is or because of some side effects ?

Trazodone oral tablet is a prescription medication which belongs to the class of medications known as antidepressants is used to treat depression. Serious side effects of Trazodone are thoughts of suicide and worsening depression. Symptoms include: thoughts about suicide or dying, attempts to die by suicide, new or worse depression, new or worse anxiety, feeling very agitated or restless, panic attacks, insomnia or trouble sleeping, new or worse irritability, acting aggressive, violent or angry, mania or an extreme increase in activity and talking, other unusual changes in behaviour or mood etc. If someone experiences such type of complications, the prescribing doctor should be informed for immediate medical help.
Cipralex contains escitalopram which belongs to the group of medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) is used to treat depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Side effects of Cipralex are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, tiredness, thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself, agitation, restlessness, anxiety, mania, new or worsening emotional symptoms etc. Check with your doctor as soon as if any of the above mentioned side effects occur.
