What Are The Side Effects Of Anesthesia Taken For Tooth Extraction?

Hi I am having four wisdom teeth removed under anaestesia this coming Friday. I have never had any form of anaestethic done before and I am really worried. If u search anything online there is so many videos of people battling to wake up afterwards or wake up extremely confused and act silly. Is this normal? Can it be avoided? Is there any thing u must be on the look out for that might be caused as an after effect of having undergone an anaesthetic for the first time.

Hello
Something on line is right but half knowledge is dangerous .
Rare things rarely occurs.
Lidocaine ( lignocaine ) used as local anesthetic for tooth extraction.
I want to tell you that mostly in most of cases this drug don't have any untowards or side effects except very very mild degree sedation , drowsiness and lethargy ( I , mentioned only in rare cases) and that too within 2-3 hours after injection or at once.
But in your case nothing happened such type of things , so no need of any tension.
Higher doses or accidental INTRAVENOUS produces CNS stimulation followed by depression.
But in your case all 4 wisdom removed ,and nothing happened .
No after effect.
Good luck.
