Hello,

Antihistamines are one class of medications that we know are safe to use during pregnancy. Cetirizine, Benadryl, Famotidine are all safe. Montelukast is a little trickier. There is no evidence of obvious danger to the fetus and is thought to be safe. The consensus is that it's not as known to be as safe as antihistamines though and is worth a discussion with the prescribing doctor to evaluate the benefits and risks. Montelukast has about a 6 hr half-life. So one or two days of stopping it would be enough to get it mostly out of your system.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
