What Are The Side Effects Of Antibiotics Overdose?

I accidentaly gave my sister twice dosage of her antibiotics fot tonsilitis. I wasn t aware that my mother had already given her, then i gave her another dosage. Her antibiotic is already 6.5, she received a total dosage og 12.5.. what are the risk on her part? Should we go to the hospital?

Don't worry this is not a serious issue.

Antibiotic overdoses are rarely dangerous to health but sometimes GIT problems like
Nausea,
Vomiting
Abdominal pain
Diarrhoea may occur.

These symptoms are usually well tolerated, sometimes requires symptomatic treatment.

Your sister should continue and complete the dose of the antibiotic as prescribed.

If any problem arise other than above listed you should talk to prescribing doctor.
