What Are The Side Effects Of Birth Control Pills?

I started to take birthcontrol pills on may 1st 2012 (mononessa) My period came on the friday which was 05/04/2012. I have been bleeding past my normal period which usually last up to 5 days max. I took my last pill 5/12/2012 and i m still bleeding how can I stop this? or is this normal for my body adjusting to the pills?

Most common Side Effects of Birth Control Pills are Spotting between periods (breakthrough bleeding),possible weight gain or fluid retention, breast swelling or tenderness,nausea or upset stomach,headache and mood changes.
