What Are The Side Effects Of Ciprofloxacin?

I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI, and about 3 or 4 days into it I started to notice itching and burning. I assumed it was a yest infection. I was given a single does of Diflucan for it. I took it and it cleared up my yest infection really quickly; however, now I have noticed a clear watery discharge what could that be?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain clear watery discharge with a recent history of having yeast infection seems to be due to yeast infection only and although the symptoms of pain and itching has subsided but there is a possibility that the infection is not resolved completely..
Other causes of vaginal discharge can be bacterial infection known as Bacterial Vaginosis..
I would suggest you to consult a Gynaecologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Vaginal swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case if it is due to fungal infection then you will be advised to continue the course of anti fungal medications for another 2 weeks..
You can also be advised antifungal ointment and pesseries..
Taking ample of probiotics like Yoghurt in diet and drinking plenty of water can be advised..

In case if it is due to bacterial infection antibiotics like Metronidazole and maintenance of proper genital hygiene is advisable..
