What Are The Side Effects Of Discontinuing Diane 35 ?

Hello, my name is Kaitlyn. I ve been taking Diane 35 as an acne medication for 2 years now. It cleared my acne but I ve had some side effects (thinning of the pubic area, sore breasts, broken veins in my eyes, dry eyes and weight gain). I m uncomfortable continuing this medication, but I m afraid of how my body might react when I stop. Is it true that this pill will worsen my acne problem when I stop taking it? What are the most common side effects of stopping this pill? Also; how long does it usually take until your hormones go back to normal? Thank you! I hope to hear back:)

Diane 35 is cyproterone and this is indicated for acne problem.
However , there are few side effects of this drug as changes in hairs pattern ( as you mentioned ) , enlargement of breast glands , skin reactions , fatigue .
You were having ACNE when this drug was prescribed ,but you didn't mention the cause of acne ?
You can omit this tablet at once and there are no withdrawal syndrome symptoms , so need not to worry.
I recommend you get in ultrasound of your both ovaries to rule out or find out any cause of acne ( cysts etc but not necessary).
Once you get rid of diane 35 , your hormone level become normal within 3 months , so need not to worry.
I recommend you consult a gynecologist and get his opinion .
