hello concerned patient,
thanks for writing to HCM

i have read your query and understand your concern regarding use of atacand

Atacand is candesartan, a drug belonging to class of angiotensin II receptor antagonist drugs and is commonly prescribed.

In your query it would have been helpful had you given the following details:
your age and sex,any medication history other than atacand, any other familial history ,dosage of atacand you are taking now and your body weight.

Yes,dizziness and irregular heart beat can be attributed to atacand and your anxiety.
If halving the dosage has relieved you dizziness and irregular heart beat, continue the dose for a while and please record bp every week and see if it remains in the normal range itself.

Wean off the drug only after consulting your physician or cardiologist and he would advise and ekg and echo if the irregular heart beat continues

many antihypertensives are known to cause rebound in many cases though with candesartan very rarely that occur
In the meanwhile do control the lifestyle and dietary changes you have been following so far.

hope i have clarified and hope it helps.followup if you have any questions.
good day and take care

Hope i have clarified
I find this answer helpful
