Hello, I- pill have not very serious side effect if taken properly and not on regular basis. Some common side effect are weight gain, nausea, breast tenderness, headache, lower abdominal pain, delayed menstruation and long term over use can cause irregular menstruation. You can use maximum once in one menstrual cycle to avoid such side effects. You can also try another method of contraception if this form is not suitable to you but under guidance of a gynaecologist.
