Hi,

I Pill contains levonorgestrel which acts as an emergency contraceptive tablet to prevent unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. It contains progesterone only called levonorgestrel, a natural female sex hormone and this medication should be taken within 24-72 hours of having sexual encounter. Irregular, heavier or prolonged bleeding is one of the commonest side effects of birth control pills like I Pill. Again, it can cause breakthrough bleeding or spotting between the periods. So, bleeding is usually normal after taking this medication. Such type of bleeding eventually goes away over time on its own. But, this type of bleeding persists for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor first for further evaluation and treatment purposes. So, don't be worried at all.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
