Hi, I have a question. My name is Chris. I have a question about routine blood pressure and cholesterol medication. Can a daily intake of Losartan (50mg) with the diuretic Hydrochlorotiazide (25mg) and of Atorvastantin (20 mg), lower the sperm count, and/or affect the shape and mobility of spermatozoids while trying to conceive. My sperm analysis had been very good before taking these medication. Then, during an IVF, which occurred about 2 months after starting these medication, the lab said the sperm count was low and that they had to do ICSI. I was really surprised especially because of previous good analysis. I realize that other factor can, occasionally, influence sperm count such as intensive travels and lack of sleep but I want to know if Losartan, Hydrochlorotiazide, Atorvastantin have a negative impact. In which case, I may put them aside for a period of time and resume later on. Thanks. Chris.
