What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Medicine For Pain And Diabetes?

Hello doctor.. I am Arjan Advani, ex GM ICICI, age 75. I have been using the following medicines for the last five years. Aceproxyvon (for pain), Jointace (arthiritis), Gabantin 100 (for nerves), TG-TOR 10 (for triglycerides), Amlovaz 2.5 (BP), Diaonil 1/2 tablet (Diabeties), Trica 0.25 and 2b12 (vitamins). I would appreciate knowing contra/side effects of long term use pl reply

Hi,

NSAIDS taken for pain relief may cause gastric / gut erosions, perforations and hematemesis. There can be nephropathy and renal failure on long term abuse. Anti diabetics may cause hypoglycemia, hypoglycemic coma, lactate acidosis and hepatic dysfunction.
