Hello,
Qsymia is a combination drug of two component phentermine and topiramate. Its topiramate component can cause severe seizure episode on sudden withdrawal after continuous intake but its can be minimized by gradual withdrawal and on low dose intake under guidance of expert health care professional. There are several other side effect that can occur like- paraesthesia, dizziness, insomnia, constipation, memory loss, ocular toxicity, increased heart rate, suicidal thoughts. So in my opinion it is better to avoid this medication. You should consult a physician about your problem, so, he/ she can solve your problem which will be more suitable for your physical and mental health.
Thank you for consulting HCM.
