What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Thyronorm 50 Mcg?
Hi, My grand mother is yrs old.She was diagnosed with high level of TSH. The.The family physician has prescribed Thryonorm 50 mcg on a daily basis. However, ever since she has started taking the tablets, she is facing palpitation and increased heart rates.Whenever, she thinks that no one will be there along with her in the house, her heart rate increases and she feels restless.Kindly advice whether it is normal and that this side effect will gradually phase out as her body gets used to the medicine...
Hello, Palpitations, increased heart rate, sweating, tremors in hands etc are side effects of excessive dose of THYRONORM. Ideally in such a situation, your grand mother should have been started with a dose of 25 mcg to begin with and then gradually increase the dose. In my opinion, you can decrease the dose to 25 mcg. Consult your doctor regarding this. Thanks
