Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Divakara's Response
HI
Thanks for posting your query.
No medicine is safe to take after its expiry date. All medicines are basically chemical and after certain period these chemical degrade and change into some other chemical which may not have any medicinal property.
Moreover these changed chemicals have toxic properties which may cause mild to serious effects like Skin rashes , nausea , Breathing difficulty, Chest pain , drop in Blood pressure etc.
Hence not recommended to take any medicine that has expired.
Hope this information was useful to you. Any clarifications feel free to ask .
