What Are The Side Effects Of Using Live Attenuated Vaccine?

Can I have rubella after taking a live attenuated vaccine (MMR) for prevention of rubella? I m confused. I got vaccinated around 3 weeks back. The vaccine was supposed to protect me from not having rubella but instead i have now developed rash and swollen occipital and preauricular lymph nodes.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not likely that you have rubella at this time since you just received the immunization.

There are different causes for enlarged lymph nodes and rash that may be causing your symptoms.

It can occur as a result of any infection and inflammatory process.

It would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
