What Are The Side Effects Of Using Mononessa Birth Control Pills?

I ve only been taking mononessa for a month and I didn t really take them at the same time every day, some days it was an hour early or an hour late. I had sex twice around the middle of my cycle and my period has been.. odd. I ve had a really light period, mostly just brown blood and spotting but it s only my third day. I m scared that I might be pregnant or is this normal? And.. what are the odds that I m pregnant?

Hello there,
I can understand your concern. If you took the pill every day without fail even if it was at different times then the pill is quite effective in preventing pregnancy. Although it is ideal to take it at the same time everyday even if it is an hour here and there it is ok. While on oral contraceptive pills periods do get light and you may not get a typical bleeding. But if you are still considering the chances of being pregnant then please get a urine pregnancy kit and test. It is accurate in detecting pregnancy a few days after the expected normal period. If it is negative then you can be rest assured and continue taking the pill like before. Do not miss more than 2 pills in a month and take the missed pill (if at all) immediately when you remember. If you have missed more pills then use a condom during every intercourse.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
