What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Anorexia Nervosa?

my daughter has had symptoms for over a year that have been benign, but now its all adding up an is concerning: anexeia a 1 1/2 years ago, we were on it and she has gained 10 lbls depresion caused withthe anerxia, treated with 20mg prozac (generic) Add (50mg Vivance) She was an active proficient top level swimmer,who now suffers from fatiguue, headaches, stomache upset and lack of interstt.. Please help!!!

Anorexia Nervosa is one of common eating disorder. The disorder is found to be associated with depression in a number of cases. She has developed symptoms of depression and she need proper treatment of her symptoms. Her symptoms of fatigue, headaches, repeated stomachaches, lack of interest etc are somatic symptoms of depression. Medicines like Prozac can help her in coming out of these symptoms. Prozac is Fluoxetine and the drug helps to reduce symptoms of depression. The drug would not cause weight gain and will also not exacerbate the symptoms of anorexia nervosa.

Don't wait for her symptoms to improve and take her to a psychiatrist for evaluation and treatment.
