What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Threadworms?

I recieved a really horrible letter from my ex husband saying that his family had contracted threadworms during a recent visit from our 2 children. He has blatently accused me of being unhygenic & neglecting my children & is refusing to see them until it is sorted. He has also said that if it isn't sorted he will get social services involved.

They have shown no symptoms, neither have family or friends with whom they are in regular contact. We did have it 2 years ago but were all treated & have shown no signs since. I know that there aren't always symptoms so can't be sure. He has made my children feel dirty & self concious. Should I treat them anyway & how do I prove to him that it isn't a problem??????

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You need to check your food habits and personal hygiene. Take Albendazole tablets, and you will get rid of it soon, also take the multivitamin tablet daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
