What Are The Symptoms Of An UTI?

Could I need an antibiotic even though I did not test positive for urinary tract infection? I m having rectum, prostate or some kind of symptoms going on. Started sulindac three days ago to see if anti-inflammatory would take care of it but so far things are not improving.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You may get symptoms of a urinary infection and have a normal urine analysis in case you have prostatitis.
You should discuss with your doctor if there is a chance of you having prostatitis and if this is the case you will need antibiotics for several weeks.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
