Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey, I ve just been to a sex health centre and they did swabs and told me - have thrush...which I ve had persistantly since I was 16 and some puss cells which they say maybe connected to chlyamdia, however, I have used a condom with all partners but one did split, I am just wondering since I do get persistant thrush badly, could this be the thrush instead of chlyamdia??? Any info will be useful thanks
Symptoms of most sexually transmitted symptoms are similar except for a few infection-specific symptoms. If your doctors are suspecting chlamydia then it should be confirmed with the supporting laboratory investigations.
Please visit a clinic for the required investigations, but there is a strong possibility of there being an infection other than thrush. Hope this helps.
Well both these conditions share some common symptoms which is why I would suggeat undergoing the laboratory investigations to find the exact diagnosis.
This should sort your problem out. But I would also like to point out from your query that sexual intercourse should be completely avoided during recovery or else it can result in an aggravation and thus failure of therapy.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
