What Are The Symptoms Of Food Poisoning?

Do black dots on the tongue, combined with diarrhea and vomiting indicate food poisoning? We went to a NYE celebration this weekend and 6 out of 12 of us became ill with symptoms similar to the stomach flu but at least 2 in our group also had black spots on their tongue.

Hi and welcome.

Symptoms can vary depending on the source of the infection. The length of time it takes for symptoms to appear also depends on the source of the infection, but it can range from as little as 1 hour to as long as 28 days. Common cases of food poisoning will typically include at least three of the following symptoms: abdominal cramps, diarrhea
vomiting, loss of appetite, mild fever, weakness, nausea, headaches.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you should contact your doctor immediately.
Wish you good health. Regards
