What Are The Symptoms Of Hyperthroidism And Hypothyroidism?
I'm 26 years old. My skin gets increasingly dry despite use of mosturisers, i'm having irregular mensturation , dry mouth, my weight has increased over the last two months by 7 kilos, the nails on my toes and fingers have lost lustre and my hair has become dry. I do have a familial history of individuals with thyroid hormone fluctuations - some are hyperthyroid and some are hypothyroid .. Should I be concerned?

The symptoms and signs you described are suggestive for hypothyroidism or under active thyroid.
To confirm it i would recommend to check;
-TSH, FT4, FT3.
If hypothyroidism is confirmed than treatment should be started and your symptoms will be improved within 4-6 weeks.
