My child 2 year 10 months old is vomiting after any feed I think is it happening by stomach infection or cold an cough due to winter season doctoe gave stomach bug killer medicine I gave it him but till now he is sufferd vomiting now I want to diagnose him which type of test I should do for him or give what medician him

Hi,

I noted the history about your 2 year 10 month old child vomiting after any feed. You are thinking about stomach infection or cold and cough due to winter season. Doctors gave stomach bug killer medicines, but the child has vomiting also, and you want to know which tests to be done.

As per the history you have provided about your child of 2 year and 10 months old I would advise you the following:

- Send the stool sample for tests for three consecutive days.
- Antibiotic and metronidazole, symptomatic and supportive treatment with probiotics, activated charcoal and so on.
- Maintain his hydration.

Consult a Pediatrician for further investigations like ultrasonography of the abdomen, X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
