What Are The Treatments For Diarrhea, Heartburn And Red Mucus?
Hi .I'm a 54year old male. For the last 3 days I have had severe diarrhoea. very loose stools and today there has been evidence of light red mucus. I have had intermittent heartburn for many months which I have treated with Gaviscon. Is there anything I can do to improve the symptoms?

I really appreciate your concern. The underlying cause of diarrhea is matter of concern and it needs to be treated in your case it seems to be bacillary dysentery and it can be managed with Tab Doxycycline 100 mg twice in day for five days some time symptom could be associated with protozoa infection and for that it is advisable to try Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days.
