What Are The Treatments For Pain In Left Chest, Nipple Pain And Lump Inside Nipple Of A 11 Year Old Child?

Hi Dr. Grief,

I am a parent of an 11 year old boy. For the past couple of weeks now, he has been complaining of his left chest nipple hurting him, and is raised a bit and hurts him sometimes. I looked at it, and it significantly looks different. I palpated his nipple and I can feel a lump.

Can you please help ?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Relax,there is nothing to worry.
This is gynecomastia which is sometumes seen in boys at onset of puberty and is self limiting.
Do not press it.
In case it grows rapidly or is associated with any other symptom get him examined by doctor.
