What Are The Underlying Causes For Hives In Children?
Hi my Grandson is 20 months old, and the last couple of days he is breaking out in hives only when he sleeps, he could sleep in the bed or have a little nap on the couch it doesn't matter, he has hives on his legs and arms when he wakes up, his mom gives him Benadryl and it goes away, but we are woundering what is causing those hives only when he sleeps. thank you
It could be because of several reasons. One reason could be because of allergy to some substance in his bed. It could be mites or dust or bed sheet etc. Please try to find out the exact cause and try and avoid the same. If this is not solving your problem consult a pediatrician to identify the cause after a physical examination. Is there any allergy to any of the family members?
