Hello Have a greay day ahead,,, My question is I have unprotective sex last 14 of december then suposedly I will have my menstration 2nd week of january 12 or 13 but untill now it didint come yet is there any posoble when I take postinor might be my menstruation will come? Tnanks more power

Hi,
I understand your query.
Postinor is an emergency contraceptive . It has high dose of hormones & taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.It acts by preventing ovulation/ making cervical mucus thick/ not allowing implantation of fertilesed ovum.
* You have a delayed period , ? already pregnant ( some times delayed period can be due to cause other than pregnancy - which can be treated& cycles regulated)- so if you take Postinor while pregnant
- It can not prevent conception,/ It will not induce abortion.
- It will cause fetal malformations,
So it is not advocated to take it when pregnancy is proved.
