What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Progynova Tablet?

Hi, I am starting my second IVF cycle and am on CD21 and am about to begin down regging with three tablets of Progynova each day for 17 days, then have my scan on the 5 days later. I am concerned as I cannot find any women who have been prescribed this, the information I can find on progynova is that it supports menopause by ofsetting the symptoms not bringing us into a controlled state of menopause, which I thought was the purpose of down regging. Last time I was on norethiserone during the down regging, the nurse was too busy to explain why they changed my medication, I am on cetrotide and gonal f during stimms. Thanks so much

Progynova contains 2mg estradiol valerate. It is used for Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for oestrogen deficiency symptoms.
More common side effects caused by this drug include: Back pain, headache, itching or pain of the vagina or genital area, white vaginal discharge and weight gain.
In IVF treatment, Progynova is given together with progesterone primarily to support the endometrium during the luteal phase. It will help to thicken the lining of your womb. It is also used for maturing the uterine lining in thaw embryo transfer cycles.
