children need immunizations (shots) to protect them from dangerous childhood diseases. These diseases have serious complications and can even kill children. immunizations need to begin at birth; most vaccinations are completed by age 2. By immunizing on time, you can protect your child from being infected and prevent the infection of others at school or at day care center. Remember all these infections are potentially dangerous that is why vaccines. The best way to vaccinate is by Injection I guess that is why no syrup. But polio is by drops.

THE BEST COST EFFECTIVE WAY TO PREVENT LIFE THREATNING ILLNESS IN DEVOLOPING COUNTRIES IS THROUGH VACCINATION. IT IS A SIMPLE PROCESS BY WHICH A CHILD IS GIVEN SUBOPTIMAL/SUBCLINICAL DOSE OF A DISEASE CAUSING ORGANISM OR A SUBUNIT OR PART OF THE ORGANISM,THIS CAUSES THE IMMUNE SYSTEM TO BUILD ANTIBODIES AGAINST THE ORGANISM.SO THE CHILD IS PREVENTED FROM GETTING THE INFECTION FROM COMMUNITY, . MULTIPLE DOSES ARE REQUIRED FOR FEW ILLNESS WHER AS SINGLE DOSE FOR FEW ILLNESSES. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ERADICATED SMALLPOX FROM THE WORLD THROUGH VACCINATION. ORAL VACCINES ARE AVAIBLE FOR TYPHOID, ROTA VIRUS DIAORREA, CHOLERA AND POLIO. OTHERS R INJECTABLES

Pediatrician, Neonatology Dr. Kathirvel Rajan's  Response
vaccines being started given for vaccine preventable diseases like diptheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, rubella, mumps from late 20th century. Now our national pediatric academy included some other diseases in the immunisation schedule.
As for as possible children should have been covered with all injections and oral drops.

These are the injection to prevent your child from getting many disease like measles, diptheria, pertusis, tetanus. You need to ask your child specialist to give the immunization card and note all the dates when it has to be given. Get these injections at correct time.

Hi dear, children are highly susceptible to develop infections, as they have never been exposed to it earlier. Aim of Immunization is to prevent the person from getting the disease when they are exposed to it for the first time in life as certain illness may be crippling or fatal. I guess there are no syrups
