What Are These Large Lumps Near The Heels And Is There Any Treatment For It ?
My son is 5 yrs old.he has recently developed large lumps on the bottom of both feet near his heels.I have had a mri and 2 sets of x-rays which got me no-where......he now has had these things for over a month. The doctor told me they have never seen this before and they don t look like they need to be removed.I just wanna know how he got these deposits, and what I can do to treat them?
The lumps have cause here for concern except Ohysically they are inconvenient to walk . Theycould be Lipoma, and other 19 causes have to considered before they are.:-
The following need to be ruled out./
History and examination will rule out actual situation.
Since the lumps are bilateral, the cause may be not only local but can be systemic or regional...can you describe the nature of the lumps in detail like they are hard, soft or firm to touch? how is the surrounding skin? is your son able to walk?
All these answers will help understand there nature...the next step may be a tissue diagnosis..an FNAC perhaps....
The most important thing is to find the cause of these lumps....best if you can send a Photograph...
regards,
Dr. Anubhav
