What Can I Do About My Leaking Breasts?

my daughter in law has a 3 year old and stopped breast feeding him at 6 months. she says her breast have been leaking ever since. she has used an iud a few months after he was born and there is thyroid problems in her family. should i encourage her to seek medical attention?

It is indeed surprising that her breasts are still leaking. Is she sure she is not again pregnant, since pregnancy can be associated with leaking of the breasts afresh, especially from the fifth month onwards. What kind of thyroid problems are there? Because both when the thyroid is high, or when it is low, there is no significant effect on breast millk production or ejection.

Yes, I think she should consult her physician and her obstetrician.
