What Can I Do For A Child With Fever, Rashes? Already On Antibiotics

HI, my son ( 19 months ) had a temp of 39 degress celcius for 2 days. We took him to hospital and they kept him for 24 hrs to check him. The doctor gave him antibiotics aswell incase of infection. He also developed a slight rash, His rash is now all over his back and front and down his arms a little bit aswell as his neck. He doesn t have a temperature any more. A doctor has seen him since leaving hospital and says the rash is just left over symptoms of a virus. My son is other wise happy and healthy. Should we be concered any longer and just let him ride it out.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The rash after the fever in a kid may be due to the viral infection measles, or chicken pox.
There is no treatment for these infections and these are self limiting diseases, if the rash or the fever is unbearable, due to secondary bacterial infections, can be treated with antibiotics.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such infections cifixime syrup, paracetamol , and a cough preparation.
